Building Community Resilience with Logan Water Depot Project

Box & Co kicked off delivering the Logan Water Depot in Loganholme, partnered with Downer in July 2024. Expected to be completed in mid-2025, establishes a depot and support facility for Logan Water’s maintenance and operational teams. Designed to be a reliable, multi-functional facility, supporting Logan Water’s vital infrastructure, the Logan Water Depot ensures the community access to uninterrupted services even in challenging times.

Box & Co Director, Jeremy Box, commented, “We have been trusted to handle the complexity of the Logan Water Depot project with minimal disruption. From purpose-built fit outs to managing seamless transitions across each phase, we’re proud to be the support behind a facility that meets the needs of Logan Water and the community it serves.”

“This project also adds to the list of Box & Co’s partnership with Downer, with a history of successful past partnered projects and we are looking forward to adding this project to that list. Congratulations Logan Water on this fantastic project, set to benefit the community,” he continued.

Project Overview: The Logan Water Depot project involves the construction and refurbishment of several interconnected facilities, creating a versatile space designed to support Logan Water’s mission, while meeting stringent safety and operational standards. The project is structured around several mini projects, addressing a specific function within the depot, including the Maintenance Depot, the Administration building, the Outdoor Hub and the Laboratory.

  • Maintenance Depot | A 2,000m² steel-framed maintenance depot shed, designed to consolidate Logan Water’s infrastructure maintenance teams into a central hub. The structure includes office space and amenities, offering a streamlined workspace for day-to-day operations.
  • Administration Building | The existing administration building will be fully refurbished to house Logan Water staff, featuring new amenities, workstations, and collaborative areas.
  • Outdoor Hub | A covered outdoor space for lunches, BBQs, and presentations.
  • Laboratory | The existing on-site laboratory will be refurbished to create a purpose-built comprehensive water purity testing facility. The new fit-out will include specialised mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and lab-grade joinery tailored to meet rigorous testing standards.

The laboratory refurbishment will be completed while the facility remains operational. This requires careful planning and precision to minimise disruptions, ensuring that essential lab functions continue seamlessly throughout the renovation process.

As Box & Co progresses through each phase, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, reinforcing our trusted partnership with Downer and Logan Water.
