Box & Co was the principal contractor for this flagship project for the City of Brisbane. The team utilised the expertise of skilled stonemasons to create the outstanding stone work – an integral part of the building’s striking modernist exterior.
The centre includes a large foyer that features cutting-edge displays and a contemporary, handcrafted visitor counter. The building is surrounded by extensive native landscaping that connects the centre with the Botantic Gardens.
Local blue stone, blasted and hand-hewed directly out of the Mt Coot-Tha stone quarry, is a striking feature of the new Mt Coot-Tha Visitor Centre
